This past week was a major up and down one for sure. So much
good and sadness all wrapped up into seven days! I'll just go through how
the weekend went. We had an amazing lesson with Jenny. The spirit was so strong
and it was dope. Over the weekend she had been home to see her family and
brought up with her dad that she was taking the lessons. They got in a big
argument and it had been a bad week for her. The cool thing was that her dad
was the biggest hold up and she was scared to talk with him about it. A couple
times during the lesson, I felt impressed to challenge her to baptism, but I
kept putting it off. Finally, I just asked her straight up and she accepted. She
started crying and was super excited. Her date is set for March 23rd. At
church yesterday, she seemed even more excited and I'm so happy about it!
Mom, I got the package. Thanks for the healthy and unhealthy treats. It was a good cheer up when I got it. Valentine's Day, pretty much everyone cancelled on us. So we went with Elder Bowers and Bell and blew up their suits for their two year mark, before they left for home. I have now been set apart as a missionary for three Vdays. Just happy it's not going to be four, haha.
Friday morning, everyone that I came out with went to Boise for all the departing things. Early Saturday morning, they headed home. It's hard to believe that it was two years ago! That made for a super tough weekend! The one thing that got my spirits up was transfer calls. Elder Heninger is out and Elder Bloomfield is in. Bloomfield is one of my way good friends out here on the mission. He has been out three months longer than me, is Polynesian and from SLC. I'm so pumped to serve with him. It's crazy because back when I was with Elder Ofe, he and I would hang out a lot and we jokingly asked President in our weekly letters if we could serve with each other. Eight months later it happened! This transfer is only a five week transfer to offset the MTC schedule change and things. So everyone now will be going home a week sooner...no complaints here :) So like I said, just kind of craziness this week. I think God knew that I needed a good companion, especially with my bad run of companions and with everyone leaving this past transfer. I'm really excited and hopefully we will get to serve two transfers together.
Hopefully all is well at home. Love y'all!
