Alrighty, so last pday was super lame. All we did was travel for days to just play basketball as usual with our district. Complete waste of time, but oh well.
I had exchanges Monday night until Tuesday night and it was good. I like the elder that I was with and it was a good change. It was in a bike area and I wasn't use to that. My suit pants got a little ripped, but I was able to fix them up and they look really good, surprisingly.
I had a new missionary training meeting all day Wednesday. We had to get up at 5:00 a.m. which was not fun. We rode up with one of the elders that was in my district in the MTC, so that was fun. At first I was kind of like, why am I here, because I didn't know any of the new missionaries and I've been out a month longer then them. But as the meeting went on it was so helpful. I learned a lot. It helped my testimony grow and overall it was a really good experience. Pres Cannon sat in on my role play and said that I am a very experienced missionary and was shocked at how well I am able to teach. He probably tells that to everyone, but it was still nice to hear.
I got the package in the mail and the pants fit great. Thank you very much and this last CD was much better. Also thanks for the candy, but I am not eating candy as much as possible. So if anyone wants to send me something, mints and gum and none-sugary and fattening things would be best. I'm really trying to eat healthy and work out everyday. I haven't had a soda all year and it's tough, but good at the same time.
I got the BYUI letter sent out with all the stuff in it. It's all filled out and should work out great.
It has been insanely snowy and windy lately, except yesterday and today got really nice. This weather is super bipolar!
We had an amazing appointment with the lady that is trying to quit smoking. When we got there to show her the program, she told us that she had started quitting the night before. As of Saturday, she was still good and we will call her again today to check up and have a celebration appointment for Wednesday. I pulled her husband aside in private and asked if his wife quits smoking and wants to be baptized then would he, and he said yes. It was so great and I'm really excited for Wednesday.
I memorized the last scripture and we'll check this weeks one out tomorrow. I have been reading D&C all the way through and its amazing how many times it says ask and ye shall receive, knock and it shall be opened unto you.
This kid that drives us places every once and a while just got his mission call to Denver South, so that was pretty sweet. Funny thing that happened this week was three people asked how old my companion is and that he looked like he was fifteen. Also, yesterday we were talking with a member of the bishopric and he turned to me and said, "Now you must be the district leader." I was just like, "No, I've only been out two months and he said, "No way!" Kind of cool and makes me laugh.
The one quote that I heard this week that I really liked and want to use in my life is "Not what can I get, but what can I give." Just like to leave that quote with you guys. That is pretty much all that went down this week. Transfers are on the 19th. This week should be good and hoping to set some baptismal dates! Just doing work and that's about it.
Love ya' guys and enjoy your letters!
