City of Rocks

Well, I will have everyone know that I am sending out my letter before I even check out the March Madness bracket.  I know, shocking.  For pday last week we went to the City of Rocks, which is probably the coolest thing around. The rock formations are sick and I will send pictures. It was a little bit snowy up there and I was in shorts and a hoody and my shoes got soaked. I also fell about 10 feet off a rock, but I landed in some snow and was fine, just a little cold. The next day I was so sore though.   My body isn't use to climbing and what not.

On Tuesday, I decided to invite one of our recent converts with us for A Day in the Life of a Missionary.  He is twenty and is a really cool guy that I like being around. He came over at 8 a.m. and dropped us off around 8 p.m. It was great to switch things up. We had three amazing appointments that day.  He was able to share his conversion story and I think it helped our investigators out a lot. The one that was the best was Jill, who is the perfect investigator. Her husband is super less active, but the rest of his family is very active. She wants to get baptized, but she wants her husband to do it, which is great, but we don't know how long that will be. So we talked to her about praying and asking the Lord when He wants her to get baptized and not just when she thinks. We are meeting with her again tonight and we will see what happens. I really hope she gets baptized soon, I love teaching her!

We also watched "17 Miracles", which I don't know if you guys have seen, but it's about the pioneers. Its really amazing and inspiring. When I watch things like that, it just puts into perspective how much they went through. Our lives are so much easier, but yet we complain so much more. It really sheds light upon how much we are truly blessed and gives me a little more motivation to work harder.
The lady that is smoking has quit now for twelve days and still is doing great. Now she and her husband need to quit coffee. They still haven't brought up baptism, so we are going to try and slip some stuff in on our appointment on Wednesday.

I got your package Mom and thank you, but I don't know if you realized it or not, but you sent a DVD and not a CD, but thanks anyways.

The main frustration this week is stupid parents!  We have a brother and sister that really want to be baptized.  Their parents are divorced and the mom is all for them getting baptized, but the dad is 100% against it. Then we have another kid same situation, except his mom is against it. I just wish they realized that they are ruining their child's salvation as well as my numbers, haha, just kidding, but seriously. It was super upsetting when we ran into it twice this week.

We got to go to the temple on Friday and it was great. I was a little tired and fell asleep off and on, so that wasn't good because I wasn't able to get the full effect of it, but it was still a great experience.
I was wondering if you guys could send me my line of authority card. I never got one and would like to have one. Transfer calls are on Friday night so we will see what happens. I really hope that I am staying. I wouldn't mind getting a new companion, but either way it's in the Lord's hands. Tomorrow I'm exchanging with one of the ZL and that should be chill because I get along with him really well.  He only has one transfer left and is super trunky. I've been eating as healthy as possible lately and I've been trying to run a mile a day along with other work outs, so hopefully Dad and Chad can keep up. Just for Dad's info, gas in Declo, when I first got here, was at $3.19 and now it is at $3.75.

Well I think that is it for this week. Hope everything continues to go well and it's been great to hear from everyone. I'll send pictures in a little bit. Love ya' guys!
