City of Rocks

So last week we went to the City of Rocks again. It was fun, except I slipped and fell quite a ways down the mountain and tore my G's and my bum. It was pretty bloody and a delightful sight. It was still fun, but it hurts to this day.

We had some really bad days and some good days. Tuesday and Wednesday we had constant cancellations and tried seeing so many different people with no luck! We did help one of our investigators on his car, so that was nice to get out of the regulars and get into some more working attire. A guy came to a house in the ward and has the sword that Joseph Smith had. I didn't really understand the whole story because we came in half way through, but it was really cool to see. I somehow lost half my pictures and that really made me upset, so I don't know what I still have left. You will have to do some research about the sword, but it looked legit.

We got to go to the temple on Friday and that was an incredible experience. I'm glad that I am within an hour of the temple so that I can go once a transfer. We went to Shoeshone Falls afterwards and that was cool to see, but all those pictures are gone.

After five weeks of trying to get a hold of one of our investigators, Jill, we finally did. It took a lot of work, but we have a lesson this with her this Thursday.  She is really solid, but she left for a little while to Indiana for a funeral and then changed her number. It was really frustrating, but now it's resolved.

We have a baptism this Saturday and I'm super excited about it. Everyone else is moving slowly and either they have been cancelling or won't answer the door or answer our calls. Both the wards we went to yesterday went 10 minutes over. It was kind of weird that they both did and I didn't understand it.

We went to a member's dad's house that is less-active and he is an amazing artist. He had me copy his picture and gave me some pointers. It looked better than what I would have done by myself, but at the same time, it still isn't anything too good. It was pretty cool and I will try and send you a picture of my picture.

That is about all that happened and I'm glad everything is going well for the family. That's super cool that Weston is getting baptized.   Doesn't seem like he should be old enough, but time moves on. Love ya guys and thanks for the email and what not.
