All right, so this week was good and went by pretty fast. We had zone conference on Tuesday and it was good and really long. I had to recite Alma 7:11-12 and I kind of messed up, but it went all right. There was a lot of good advice given throughout and I had to do a role play with Pres. Cannon. I did well but it was super nerve racking. One of the missionaries that I'm really good friends with is done at the end of this transfer and so he gave his trunkamony. During it he called me out and said how much he admired my passion and devotion to come back out for the second time and to do the work I'm doing. It was a really cool experience, and its going to blow when he leaves. The spirit was really strong throughout the testimony meeting.
My allergies are starting to act up, which I hate. Everyone has animals here and now the pollen and what not are acting up so that's not fun. We had an appointment with the lady that is getting baptized in two weeks and she asked some really good questions. Then at the end, she said she had never prayed out loud in five years, which totally caught us off guard. When we asked her to pray and she did, the spirit filled the room like crazy. It was such a great experience and one that I wish I could have everyday.
Things are going well still with my companion, but I'm still doing everything myself. I make all the appointments, plans, phone calls, and decision. You name it and I do it. It's helping me learn a lot, but at the same time it gets really mind-tiring, but life goes on.
I've been trying to run at least a mile today and last week I ended the last 3 days on 1, 1.5, and 2 miles, so I felt good about that. I weigh 157 right now.
On Saturday, it was a super slow day. Either people weren't home or cancelled on us and we literally ran out of things to do. Since it's so spread out and there are only so many non-members and less-actives, we are confined to an area. It was just such a tough day. I hate slow days and it was one of the worst so far.
I was thinking back on the last couple months and I realized that I've helped two people quit smoking so far. Its kind of cool and now they are progressing more. Things are still slow as progression is concerned, but one thing that I've learned so far is that it's not on my time, but on the Lord's.
We taught at a fireside for one of the wards last night on the Holy Ghost and it went really well. It was interesting being on the other side of one of those.
Well I think that is it. Glad everyone is doing well and glad that Dad is doing better. Happy Birthday to Weston and Grandpa this week! Can't believe Weston is already 8!
Love ya' guys!
