Well this was a pretty good week, except some of our key people we weren't able to see because they either cancelled or wouldn't return our calls, texts, or answer the door. Kind of lame, but what else can you do?
I found out while reading the white handbook (the mission rules) that it doesn't say anything about hugging the opposite sex, just an interesting fact. I finished reading the D&C this week. One of the guys in one of our wards that we are chill with challenged us to read the Book of Mormon in sixty days, because that is how long it took Joseph Smith to translate it. So, I am working on that! It is good though and I'm learning a lot.
It is no longer suit season which feels great because it is starting to warm up a bit like the 50's on average. My knee has been giving me some problems lately. Nothing serious, just really sore and gives out on me from time to time.
I loved conference so much this weekend. The talks that I most enjoyed off the top of my head were Elder Holland on jealousy and Elder Scott on the Plan of Salvation. It made me think a lot about Graddy and made me have some mixed emotions. I miss him a lot, but at the same time I know that he is doing amazing missionary work and that we are serving together, so that was kind of cool. There were so many good talks and I took fifteen pages of notes. Completely different experience being on a mission and hearing General Conference rather than laying on the couch and trying to sleep. I don't know if you guys saw the chorister in priesthood session but he made me laugh with all of his emotions. Priesthood session was amazing and I liked it so much. It was interesting how many of the talks stressed the importance of the priesthood. I don't remember what talk it was, but it talked a lot about praying for others and how prayers take time to be answered. Thank you everyone who prayed for me to return out here on my mission, during the time that I was home. It feels so good to be out here and giving people the gospel and filling that hole in their lives.
That is about it. Things are going well and hopefully the work improves in the next week. We have one date set for the 28th and we are hoping to get some more this week, but only time will tell.
Love you guys and hope everything continues to go well!
Elder Larsen
