Let the Mission Mold You

Well, I guess I will start off by saying that I'm staying in Payette for another 6 weeks, which will equal 6 months by the end.  I got a new companion and he is from Peru.  He has been out about 19 months which was a bit of a surprise because during my interview with Pres. he pretty much told me that I was training or follow-up training, but everything happens for a reason.  He seems like a really cool guy.  I'm excited to be here in Payette for my year mark, Christmas, birthday, and New Year's!

So last pday we went caving and burned a shirt and pants with some of my friends on the mish.  Zone conference was really good and inspirational.  One of our APs quoted something Dad told me right before I left he said, "Let the mission mold you."  I think I've done a good job so far, but got plenty of room to improve.  Pres. interviews went really well and he praised me on doing so well with Elder West. It was the best itnerview I think I've had!

We got to go to the temple which was awesome, since it just got rededicated!  We tried to take Tristan Boren to do baptisms for the dead, but he didn't get the priesthood until yesterday, so he wasn't able to go. That was a bummer!  Thanksgiving was awesome and it was nice to just kick back and relax for a day. We had some amazing food and I felt fat all weekend.  So, this morning I worked out for over an hour to feel more back to normal.

Brandon is doing great and he came to church yesterday, so that was some improvement.  Hopefully, he can continue to improve and progress.  I hope you saw the FD in the box with some videos and if someone could send that to me at some point in time that would be great!

Sorry the letter is so short but not too much happened since it was such a weird week. Love you guys and glad everyone enjoyed the gifts and had a great Thanksgiving.  Things here are grand and I'm enjoying it!

LOVE!!!
