Yeah, I could of guessed who wrote what and especially who didn't. Some things just never change. Mother I have been getting complaints that you haven't been getting my letters for people to read, so even though you are busy we need a better effort! :) Yesterday, all the libraries were closed because of Veteran's Day and so we weren't able to email. Its starting to get much colder, but not really any snow yet. If it's going to be cold and dark, there might as well be snow on the ground.
Last week was better than the previous. We were able to make one final trip to the temple with one of our older investigators, Hank. It was great, except we had three people in the extended part of his truck and my knee was cramped against the seat in front of me. Plus, he doesn't like main roads supposedly and so it took us almost twice as long going up the back way. It was worth it though.
We got the grand prize for our apartrnent cleaning check, which makes three transfers in a row. That day I was joking around with Chad Boren, which turned into wrestling/fighting and needless to say I lost. My pointer finger might be broken and my jaw was pretty sore for a day, but it was all good and fun. He is a little bit bigger and stronger than me!
We got a temple referral for this guy, Brandon, who is in his mid 20's. We had a really good first lesson with him and he has some Word of Wisdom issues like everyone-and-there- mom in Idaho, but the cool thing is that he recognizes that he needs to change. I think he will be pretty solid. I also challenged him to be baptized (kind of a goal date) and he accepted. The only problem is that he didn't come to church like he said he would. That is the one thing this area struggles with is church attendance. We have ten baptismal dates and only two investigators were at church. Doesn't add up too well! There is always some struggle.
Friday we had a zone meeting up in Baker (about an hour+ away). They have a 1/2 gallon milk shake challenge that a lot of missionaries do and I was the only one who tried it out of the group that went up there. I was pretty nervous, but I accomplished it in about 9 minutes and 40ish seconds. The record was 5 something. I felt so sick afterwards, but it was totally worth it (never will do it again though). I got a video of it and I'll try to get it to you guys along with some others.
Tristan is officially baptized and confirmed. Dees came up to do the baptism and I did the confirmation. It went well and he should get the priesthood in two weeks since this Sunday is the temple dedication and there is no church, just three different broadcasts. The Borens gave Dees and I two large knives (I sent a picture) in memory of throwing knives earlier in the summer and playing shambo. It was a pretty sweet gift! We also were successful in getting their scripts and just waiting on the engraving of their names.
Well that was about it. Hopefully, everyone travels safely and enjoys their holiday! Love y'all!!!
