I'll start off with this past week was tough in the streets. It's been a while since I've had so many cancellations in a 7-day period. I was fasting today that it will be a better week, but already two of our main families said they can't meet this upcoming week, so it is already a rough start. Honestly, we didn't have really any solid lessons. Most were spiritual thoughts or lessons that kept getting disrupted throughout. Also the Adams moved back their baptismal date for next transfer because her ex-husband isn't in town on her birthday like we had planned. Which is fine, but I don't know if I'll even be here next transfer.
Besides all that depressing stuff, here is a little run down of things that happened this week, so all my readers have more than a paragraph to read. We helped Old Granny with her carport that her children are building for her. It was a lot of work, but it's always nice to help her out. Halloween was pretty laid back. We just ate and hung out with members and other missionaries. Didn't do any trick or treating which is fine since I don't eat much candy.
I went on exchanges with Elder Savage again and his area had as many cancellations as we had. I guess I just am cursed this week. It was nice either way to get away from my companion for the day and have a change. Daylight savings is always nice when we get to fall back and get an extra hour of sleep. However I hate how it is dark by 6:00 because it just feels weird teaching and contacting for three hours in the dark.
We had stake conference yesterday and Quinton L. Cook spoke, but we didn't get to meet him because it was through a broadcast. It was still really good. He talked a lot about the missionary age and how it shouldn't be too scary because Joseph Smith was 14, Mormon was like 16, and led an army and the list goes on.
Tristan Boren passed his interview and is on for next Saturday, so he will be the final addition for the Boren family which I'm so pumped about. I don't really care about last week or this week as long as everything works with the baptism.
Love ALL!!!
