Another week has flown by and another email comin' your way. The week started off with me leaving my basketball at the church. So Monday night, I went back to the church and heard some people in the gym. I was looking through the crack in the doors to see what was going on and at that same moment, a guy came flying out and the side of the door dome-rocked me in the middle of my forehead. It didn't really hurt because I was in shock and awe that it happened. It did leave quite the lump. I tried taking a picture of it, but it wouldn't really show up on the camera. It snowed here Tuesday and Thursday. Nothing too serious, but a snowish, rain mixture which is always fun to walk in. We got to go to the temple this week and that was really nice. I did keep falling asleep though, so that wasn't too good. We had an interview with our stake president and he was getting so excited about the work going on in the area and was pretty much blown away.
Now for the craziness of Lok. So I told you that he texted us and wanted to be baptized, but then never responded. Well, his fellowshipper texted us and said that he wanted to get baptized on Frida. Then a couple of hours later she said that actually wouldn't work, so if we could do it Saturday night. It was stake conference this weekend, so that wouldn't work. Then we changed it to Saturday morning. That ended up not working. Finally, after going back and forth we settled for Thursday at 5:00 p.m., which was fine except it was Tuesday morning and he hadn't been interviewed, the bishop didn't know, the building wasn't scheduled and we had nothing for the program. Needless to say, we were able to have it all figured out and accomplished. The baptism went great even with the four mistakes on saying the baptismal prayer by one of his fellowshippers. Because it was stake conference, he has to wait until next week to be confirmed. Pretty crazy!
This upcoming week we should have another baptism on Saturday for Devon. He has his interview on Wednesday and he should be fine. He is super excited about it, even though he is super quiet. It should be an interesting interview since he has a hard time answering questions.
We had our final interview with President Cannon this week. It was my favorite and saddest interview ever. He did crack a joke about how only he and I have been out for over two years in the mission. He had me recap the past 2+ years with him. I shared part of my patriarchal blessing with him (which made him cry.) He told me I was his hero for coming back out, and gave me a blessing at the end. There were so many other great things, but that was the jist of it. I'm sure the new president will be fine, but it will be sad to see President Cannon go having known him for so long.
I enjoyed stake conference. It was nice to only have two hours of church instead of eight! That was pretty much the week for me. Can't believe that it's almost May and almost done with another transfer. It's going by so fast.
Love ya' guys. One Love!
