Final Interviews with President Cannon

Well, to start off, I would just like to wish everyone happy birthday or anniversary or whatever else is being celebrated this month.  It seems something is happening on everyday of this month when I look at the calendar that Mom gave me.  Last week was full of cancellations.  I should go back and see the percentage of how many people were no-shows last week.  It was ridiculous!

Devon came to church and we had another great lesson.  He said that when he is at work he can't wait to come home so that he can go back and start reading the Book of Mormon again.  He had to work until 4:30 yesterday morning and still came to church at  10:00 a.m.  That's some solid dedication.

Lok, however, isn't doing so well. We haven't been able to meet with him for a couple weeks now and he bailed on our appointment this past week.  He texted us and asked if he could be baptized this weekend, so we asked him to consider the 20th and he never responded.  It's just a weird situation there.

We have really good fellowshippers, but things just aren't fitting together.  Yesterday at church we were able to get a whole lot of referrals.  We plan to contact them this week and hopefully get some investigators.  It could be a promising week.  Also about Fast Sunday.  I remembered it was Fast Sunday, but we had to leave super early in the morning for some meetings and I forgot to throw on my fast Sunday tie.  So, after our first Sacrament meeting, we ran back home so I could keep the tradition alive!

So, Elder Bloomfield found out this past week that one of his cousins was shot and killed.  I just feel so bad for him that he has gone through so many tough things already in life and especially on his mission.  He tries to handle things really well, but at times, I can tell it's killing him inside.  I just don't know what to say or do for him at those times.  I try and make the missionary work as fun and exciting as I can to keep his mind off of it.

We have President's interviews this week, which will be the final ones with President Cannon. It's so weird to think that he is leaving and also that this time is already coming.  I guess the interviews are going to  go longer than normal, since they are his last ones.  It will be interesting to see what he talks about.  That's about it from this side of the world.

Love y'all.  One Love!

Elder Larsen
