Fasting

It's June and less than 6 months to go!  Can you believe it...I can! just kidding but seriously.

So this week was a pretty good week for the most part. We had to drive up to Boise for an eight-hour new missionary training meeting. It was pretty good and it was nice to see some missionaries that I haven't seen for awhile. After that, we went and visited my old area in Meridian and I saw Jen Holyoak. For dinner we went to the Poulsens (who I used to live with.)  It was so awesome to see them and think about old times. On the way back, I got a call from the Borens and they were driving back from Rexburg, so we met them in Twin Falls and talked for 30 minutes or so. So in one day, I got to see some of my favorite families on my mission. It was such a bomb day!

Friday hit though and it was tough in the streets. We had seven solid set appointments and they all cancelled except one. It was awful, so we decided to support the other elders in our stake for their baptism. Their baptism backed out thirty minutes before. The four of us gave up on Friday. It was an awful way to end May.

Saturday was much better since we were able to teach Salvidor and one of his roommates. He seemed to enjoy it and I think he has potential. We also picked up another kid in the college ward that we were able to set a baptismal date with. He has a lot of member friends and really enjoys the church. He came with us to church yesterday and we are going to teach him again tonight. Just tearing it up here. On Saturday, we got to watch Jenny do baptisms for the dead. It was the first time that I had been with a recent convert for baptisms for the dead. We are going to try and do it with Stephon this week.

Yesterday, I really got a testimony of fasting. I have been praying and thinking a lot about how to get people to come to church and the importance of that. We were able to help four people to get there yesterday and we have more chances for next week. We have also been able to continue to find more people to teach and hopefully they will be able to be baptized in the near future.

Well that's about it for me! One Love!
