It was a super awesome week this last week. Ups and downs
like always, but overall nice. So the week started out with our AC not working.
It got up to 93 degrees in our apartment. It was insane. We got it back working
by the end of the night and I was grateful we don't have to be in our apartment
all day. Things in the area have really picked up. The week before I
got here, they taught seven lessons. This past week, we were able to get thirty
lessons, with fourteen of those to non-members. We also were able to have a
baptism with Hayden. I had the chance to baptize him. It was a really good
service and his non-member dad showed up and seemed to enjoy himself. Hayden is
super solid.
We were also able to do a lot of service. We helped another family move into one of our wards and none of the ward members were able to help. It was a lot of moving to do with such a small number (4). We did some yard work as well and the family wanted this tree cut down, but didn't have a saw. So me and another elder used a hatchet to do it. It took awhile, but the job is done.
There were a couple of new announcements for missionaries. Most of them don't really effect me too much since I have my clothes already, but the no backpack thing is super gay, since my old backpack broke a couple weeks back and I bought a new one. I guess I will just use it for school when I get back. We spoke in Sacrament yesterday on covenants. I wasn't too nervous about it until it turned out to be a Mission Farewell and the Stake President showed up. I think it went well, but who knows. Just my luck.
So I hit my 138 days left today, so I started the D&C countdown ( reading the D&C backwards one section a day). Kinda crazy how fast things have been going the last couple of months. We already have transfer calls this Saturday and I feel like I just got to the area last week.
