So it was another week that flew by. We helped a lady that
we were teaching move to Meridian. We asked the Elder's Quorum to help and only
one guy showed. So we did a lot of work in the hot weather. In the end, she got
all moved. It was a bit of a slower week at times since it was 4th of July week
and a lot of people were out of town. We went out on splits with one of our
ward mission leaders and didn't have too much success, but we did get on the
topic of standards. It was really good discussion. It made me realize that we
are all taught standards from a young age. But it isn't until we make up in our
own mind that we won't do something, no matter what, beforehand, that we are
always going to be more susceptible to Satan's temptations. We also met with
this guy, Kerry, that we found out is an ex-member. He is literally crazy. We
had been there for thirty minutes or so and had to get going to dinner. So I
told him that we had to leave and he just kept talking. I told him this six
times and he acted like I wasn't even talking. So finally, I just started
walking away and he just followed us telling us the same story that he had been
telling us over and over for the past thirty minutes. We finally got him to
stop talking and had a prayer with him and then he started telling his story
again. I just got in the car and left as he stood by my door. So awkward.
Hayden should be getting baptized this week. He has his interview on Wednesday, so hopefully that goes well.
I had my interview with President Cannon 2.0 and it was really basic. It was about ten minutes and he just asked me about pre-mission and a couple of experiences on the mission. He seems like a really nice guy, so I'm not too worried for the remaining five months.
The 4th was pretty chill. We went and hung out with members, ate food, and watched a couple fireworks and called it a night. Nothing too amazing.
I started insanity for the third time last week. It's going pretty good and I have all the exercises memorized by now.
So Fast Sunday was really great, but I've been eating six meals a day, so fasting is a whole new thing when you don't eat for those time slots. But the fasting part was great haha. Only four more!
Today we got permission to go on a slip-n'- slide. Best Pday ever. It was pretty hot and it felt sooooooooo good. We might do it again next week. I am super tired from the sun and I am a bit burnt, but it was totally worth it.
Love you all and take luck.
