"Looking back, it's all a blur"

Life is going pretty chill over on this part of Idaho. I got my pre-trunks this week that asked me what airport I'm flying into and all that info and also my release date, which is November 23, 2013. So I will be home right before Thanksgiving, which is pretty awesome. So mind-blowing that it’s so close. Looking back it's all a blur.

That same day I got the letter was also one of the best days on my mission. We were able to teach eight super-solid lessons and were also able to see all of our investigators with a baptismal date. Everything just worked out so beautifully. I was high on life that day.

We did get sad news though latter on in the week. We found out that a family that we were teaching (the Smiths) are getting evicted from their home and so they have to move in with his mom in Boise. We had already finished all the lessons with them and set them up with an interview which they passed, so they will just get baptized in Boise, which blows since we can't go over there :(.

Last Fast Sunday I was fasting for one of our wards that has been struggling for a while that we would be able to find some people to teach. This week we were able to find two new investigators. One is an ex'ed member who is dating a non-member. The ex'ed guy is interesting, but nice. Also, you can tell he is still a little frustrated with the church, so I'm hoping that he won't be a bad influence with her conversion. She seemed pretty solid though. They were busy all this upcoming week, so we set something up for next week.

Sundays are usually a bit slower, but we got a referral from the bishop and contacted her. Her name is Sarah and she has had a rough go at life. She is so ready for the gospel though. She went to church yesterday, is starting to read the Book of Mormon, and also is willing to quit smoking in the next two weeks so that she will be Word of Wisdom-free for her baptism date that we set on the 2nd week in September. So things are continuing to go awesome here.

Things with the companion are frustrating at times because he is pretty lazy and talks about random stuff all day to make himself sound cool. It's just so annoying. It's tough working with so many people like that, but I have learned a lot from the experiences. We are already halfway through with the transfer and it has flown by. The two Elders that we have been living with found a place and moved out today.

Love you all and keep it real.
