The Movies and A Testimony of Goal Setting

So it was another very interesting week. We started off with Zone Conference. It was the first one with new President Cannon. It was just like every other except for at the end, he had a surprise and he took all the missionaries to the movies to go see "Ephraim's Rescue." How crazy is that!  Not many people can say they went to the movies with their mission president, and the movie was bomb.

Chaniel Gilbert is still on for this Saturday. Patrick and Cierra are set for the following Saturday, and Sarah Adams is doing really great and should be good for the 14th of September. The work is really doing good. We are just having to push Robby a little harder than the others.

So, Saturday morning our car battery died for no reason, died Saturday afternoon, and again on Sunday morning!!!!! YAYAYAYAY. We finally were able to get a new battery put in this morning, but it took up about two hours of our Pday, which was lame. It wasn't fun.

A lady called us on Saturday night and asked if we could help her move a few items. It was a non-member who wasn't even our area, but we were like sure why not. Then she called 15 minutes before we got there and said she had some bigger items, so that we would need a truck. We called up a ward member to help out with a load. It was 8:45 p.m., so we only had time for one load. Turned out she had like nine loads worth, so we told her we could take the biggest stuff. We did that and took it to the storage unit and she didn't want us to put it in the unit because she wanted to rearrange some things. We kept asking if there was anything else we could do but she said no. So when we were leaving and driving passed her, I waved goodbye and she flipped me off. I was just like what the?  Are you serious right now. I was so mad and had no idea why she did that after we just helped her. It was weird.

We had a really cool experience with our weekly goals that we set. Going into dinner we were one member present short and two new investigators short as well. We didn't have any time slots left for any more lessons at night. But the dinner family invited their neighbors, so we were able to teach them and have a really good discussion. We were able to set a return appointment for Wednesday. They seemed pretty interested. It was just a cool testimony for goal setting.

Well that is about it for me. Love you all and hope all is well. Peace and Blessings!
