47 Days!

Well, besides conference, nothing too special happened this week. I actually was on exchanges for a good portion of the week, so it is all just a blur. The sad news is that we had a review lesson for Jesse, before his interview that was supposed to happen this week, but he hasn't been home every time that we went by. So we will have to postpone his date until the 19th at this point.

My two trunky moments of the week were when I was eating dinner at a member's house. One of their daughters is leaving for her mission the same day as I get home. On her Iphone, she has a hour count down and so I got a bit trunky that night. My second was when I read my patriarchal blessing this week. I looked at the date it was given and guess when it was. November 23, 2007. Pretty crazy!

So, conference was a straight spirit bomb. I went in with a couple of different questions and they all pretty much got answered.  The talks were all very well done and just awesome. It was weird having priesthood session broadcast over the Web and TV. Kinda crazy how things are changing. It was interesting to see how so many of the talks talked about motivation, getting over hard times. and missionary work. Seems like that is obviously important and I figured it was because of what is happening in the government right now, from what I've heard about it. I loved how they tied it into the Savior and His love for all of us and how that can be our support during hard times. My favorite quote was from Elder Holland when he said, "Hope is never lost...if the bitter cup does not pass, drink it, and then watch for better days ahead." Just a solid message to everyone.

Transfers calls are on Friday, so I am looking forward to that. This transfer has flown by and I'm hoping I get a sweet companion for my final one! Prayers will be most appreciated! Love you all! 47 days :)!
