I Am Learning Patience

Well this week has been good.  I found out that my companion was actually the elder that took over for me when I went home back in March, so that is kind of weird. Things are good with him, but he is a lot like my first companion in the MTC, which wasn't very fun.  But, he is really smart and we teach well together.  I am learning patience for sure with him though.  That is the only thing that has been tough really, well that and getting up, hahaha!  There have been hard times and good times, but for the most part it's solid.

Kind of weird yesterday when I met that family that knew the Bronsons in Parker.  They were a super nice family. The crazy thing that happened this week was while we were with the priests teaching people, they were driving us home and had some old oranges in the car.  They decided to throw them at passing signs.  After two throws, the priest that was driving got too close to the side of the road and hit a reflector with the side mirror.  The mirror hit the other priest who was halfway outside the window.  It cut up two sides of his head and we had to rush him to the hospital.  We gave him a blessing on the way and he got twelve staples and six stitches, but it is all good now.  We didn't get home until midnight, so kind of crazy.

We have a baptism this Saturday, with a nine-year-old girl and she is so excited about the church and her baptism.  Her dad is in jail and her mom is on probation, so she mostly lives with her grandparents who are active.  She is the only person that is close to baptism, but we have a lot of people progressing.

The zone and district have gotten better and I have been able to be myself around them.  I enjoy teaching lessons and talking with the different people a lot.  I think part of it is that it has not been just me and my companion and I have someone else to talk with.  Yesterday at church, there was a woman that spoke that sounded exactly like a woman version of Lou Holtz.  It made me laugh and brightened up my day.

We get to go to the temple once a transfer as long as we are an hour from a temple.  We got to go on Friday and it was a really good and spiritual experience.  I just need to go to the Idaho Falls Temple and then I will have hit up all the Idaho temples.  Other than that, things are looking up and I'm just trying to focus on the work and enjoy   what I am doing.

I got Mom's package today and her letter and I will get all that worked out.  I haven't read anything yet because it was right before we got here.  Thank you very much though.  Also can you send me the addresses of Justin Jefferies, Luke Nielson, and Brad Farnsworth?  Try getting them on Facebook and if you can't find them, then don't worry about it. You might have to go through my Facebook.

Hope all continues to go well. Love you guys. Thanks for all the different emails from everyone that has sent them.

Love,
Elder Larsen
