Easter Poem

There are three key points in what I'm about to write,
The prayer, the cross, the resurrection after three days and nights.
He prayed for hours, no one else was awake.
As the soldiers came, the ground began to quake.
Each sin we've committed, He's paid the debt.
Blood poured out of His body as if it were sweat.
He was beaten and nailed to a wooden cross,
All to make sure that not one soul be lost.
Placed in a tomb for His body to rest,
But after three days the apostles found nothing left.
The resurrection made it all complete,
The scars remained on His hands and feet.
These three events are called the atonement,
For this sole reason the Son of God was sent.
