It's True!

Well, this week was pretty solid. There weren't too many down times so that was nice. We had a guy this past week come to church for the first time and he has been super Catholic all his life. We were talking to him after and he said that there was some song that we sung that was a Catholic song and in his mind that was God telling him that he needed to stay Catholic. He is a crazy old man, but we are still working on him.

We had a super cool/golden experience that made the week. So we were walking home from a cancelled appointment and a car pulled out in front of us and called us over. We figured it was members, but turns out that it was a lady that had gone to church two times before and wanted to learn more about the church and a guy who we thought was a member, but when we went to the lesson turns out he wasn't either. The girl is super interested and the guy, not so much. We set a baptismal date with her for the middle of July. They both came to church and stayed the whole time and really enjoyed it. We have another lesson tomorrow, so I'm excited about that.

Dad we ate dinner with some family and now I can't remember the whole story, but do you know a Dennis Draney? I've never known any Draney's except for the ones in OK.

At one of our other discussions, I don't remember how it got brought up, but they started talking about sugar cane syrup and it just reminded me of that nasty smell whenever we had biscuits. It's just not right to have that with such good food. And at another dinner a girl told her parents that "You don't know what its like," and I started laughing so hard in the inside. (some may know what I'm talking about and some may not...that is all I will say on the matter.)

Yesterday, in one of the sacrament meetings that we went to, we were singing "I Stand All Amazed" and in the third verse when it says, "No, no" I started thinking about that days long Pride and Prejudice movie that Mom would always watch while ironing or sewing, when the lady says in her creepy voice, "No, no".My companion and I are still getting along and playing a lot of ping-pong and we are getting pretty freakin' good. Glad everything is going well and everyone is having fun. Things here are great and I will leave you with ITS TRUE!!!

Love, Elder Larsen
