It's been a great week. We had an amazing lesson with the Adams (lady with four kids that just split up with her less-active husband.) Right before the lesson, we were thinking about challenging the family to baptism (two kids baptismal age) and we were deciding on what day to do it and chose November 10th. That night after we taught lesson three, we brought it up and asked them and they said yes. The even cooler thing is that November 10th is her birthday, so that made her even more excited and just an awesome night. So there should be three more baptisms at the beginning of next month!
Continuing, Chad Boren has made his official choice to be baptized this Friday. Their son wants to wait a little longer which is all right. On Saturday, the Boise Temple Open House starts and we are going with a family that day. It's going to be a crazy weekend...baptism, transfer calls, open house, and confirmation!
General Conference was amazing. I was super shocked to hear that they changed the mission age. That must mean that they need more missionaries, which means that the teaching must be about to explode. My mind is gone! There were so many different talks that stuck out to me. Priesthood session was my favorite. It's so great to be on a mission when they are talking so much about missions and preparing yourself. Pres. Eyring's talk, I think stuck out to me the most during priesthood session. Elder Holland's talk was another during the Sunday Morning session that stuck out to me as well...shoot they were all good! The dish kept cutting out so I didn't get to hear all the sessions, but at least they will come out next month in the Ensign. It's always a spiritually uplifting time when you get to hear from a current prophet of the Lord! After conference, I made Tortilla Espanola for the Borens and it turned out pretty good. I'll try to attach some pictures for everyone to see my wonderful cooking abilities!
