Elder Holland is Coming! YEAH

To start off, my knee is feeling much better. I must have just overused it!  It started off as one tough week. Up until Friday, only one of our set appointments held. All the others cancelled or were no shows. I was pretty frustrated, but decided to set up a bomb day for Friday. The Friday began with an awful district meeting. I'm pretty sure we have the worst district leader in the mish. It was so bad and unproductive that the zone leaders were going to complain to Pres about it. After that, we ended up able to contact a couple of referrals and also have some great lessons! It was a good pick me up.

One of those lessons was with a girl in the college ward, Jenny, that was introduced to the church by her boyfriend, who just left on his mission and some roommates. She is the type of investigator that is already doing everything that she needs to, but just hasn't made the choice of baptism yet. The lesson was super powerful and the Spirit was there for sure. We had her kneel down and pray and be more specific of her needs and desires. She started to cry and I feel like she knows what she needs to do, but is scared about the big commitment that it is. We committed her to pray this week and also read everyday. We encouraged her to not look for big miraculous signs, but for feelings she feels in her heart and she accepted. She also came to church today which is pretty sweet!

Throughout the week it got a bit warmer and the snow began to melt a bit, but then Sunday hit and it got cold, windy, snowy again. It was not fun walking around in it. While we were in the church, the bishop and another guy he was with were about to walk outside. They said that it would stink to be a missionary in the area with this weather and then started laughing as he left. I just sat there like "you homo!"  We got the announcement last night that for our apostle meeting this Saturday, it will be none other than Jeffery R. Holland. I don't know whether to be pumped or scared out of my mind. The crazy thing is that that was my guess of who was coming. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to what Saturday has to bring. Elder Dees and I got permission to go to Declo today, so I'm looking forward to that. Hopefully, I'll get to see some people that I used to know.

Well, that's about it. Hopefully, next week I will have some good spiritual insight to share about the meeting and the week. Hopefully everyone is doing well!

Love!
Elder Larsen
